Bowden Street Jewish Cemetery: "...was opened in 1831 and closed in 1870. In that same year the cemetery site at Walkley was purchased." total of 51 graves [January 2001]

Ecclesfield Jewish Cemetery: photos. photos of gravestones. The oldest section was acquired in 1872. The cemetery also contains remains from Bowden Street burial ground that was the subject of a compulsory purchase in 1975.  [February 2010]
