Dan JUMARA

Dan Jumara was born in 1952 in Iasi, Romania. He obtained a B.A. in 1976 from the Philological Faculty of the Al.I.Cuza University of Iasi and a PhD in History in 2004 from the same University. He got several attestations as archivist, paleographer, museologist and expert for old books and manuscripts. After being the archivist of the Iasi branch of the National Archives, he became manager and deputy director of the Museum of Romanian Littérature in Iasi. He is at present Associate Professor of the Appolonia University in Iasi. Dr Jumara is the author or coauthor of 8 books, of 200 studies and essays, and of over 150 popularization articles. He is fluent in English and French and has a good knowledge of Italian.
