Giacomo NUNEZ

Giacomo Nunez is a PhD from the University of Paris and honorary Director of research at CNRS. He conducted research on the development of the brain and the action of thyroid hormones. Associate Professor at Paris VII, where he taught molecular Endocrinology, he led a unit of the INSERM at the Bicêtre Hospital, and then at the Créteil hospital . Author of over 250 scientific publications and many chapters of books for researchers and students. He trained many doctoral French and foreign students and post-docs. Invited to the United States after his retirement, he has been continuing his active research for 14 years at the National Institute of Mental Health (NIH-NIMH) of Bethesda. He published a book at Editions Belforte, Livorno, "Delle Navi and degli Uomini" and several articles for newspapers on the Livournians from Tuscany and Tunis. He lives in the United States, at Chevy Chase, MD.
